🌸 Welcome to The Magnolia List
Hey y’all, and welcome to the very first edition of The Magnolia List.
If you’re here, you’re probably a lot like me: juggling work, family, chronic pain days, writing deadlines, dogs who think they’re tiny humans, and a caffeine habit that deserves its own zip code. ☕😂
And in the middle of all that chaos, figuring out what’s actually worth your time, money, or energy can feel like one more chore on an already very long list.
That’s where this little newsletter comes in.
The Magnolia List is my space for sharing real-life favorites — products I’ve personally used, loved, and would hand to a friend without hesitation.
No trends for the sake of trends. No aesthetic pressure. No “you need this to be better” noise.
Just honest finds that make everyday life softer, smoother, or simply more doable.
Think of it as a tiny weekly exhale:
Here’s something that helped me — maybe it’ll help you too.
Every edition will feature:
🌸 At least one tried-and-loved item (some weeks may have a few)
📝 A short, real-talk review
💡 Why it earned a spot on the list
🛍️ A link if you want to check it out (some links may be affiliate, which help fuel the coffee pot at no extra cost to you)
And today, we’re starting with…
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five-Star Review: The ALESTOR Surge Protector Power Strip

Listen… I did not expect to love a power strip. Truly. But this thing? This thing is the unsung hero of my entire house.
Between laptops, phones, kindles, chargers, lamps, ring lights, and whatever mystery device my husband plugged in last, I needed something that could handle the chaos. This one not only keeps up, it feels like it looks at the mess and says, “Bless your heart, I got this.” 😂
Twelve outlets and four USB ports means I can actually plug in everything I use without playing “unplug something to plug in something else,” which we all know is a special form of hell. The two wide-set outlets are perfect for those monster-sized chargers that always block the ones next to them.
It’s sturdy, it doesn’t overheat, it’s ETL certified (which translates to: safe enough not to stress me out), and the surge protection gives me peace of mind when storms roll through or my devices decide to act dramatic.
And the price? $15.98 (as of 11/16/25) for something this solid? That’s a steal. I grabbed one for my office and immediately bought another for the living room because why tempt fate?
If your cords currently look like a nest built by a very stressed-out raccoon, this is the upgrade you need. You can grab it here: https://amzn.to/4428vBu
